Grants

Xavier offers need-based graduate grants for students in specific programs. Grants typically range from $180 to $480 per semester. In order to apply for a graduate grant, students must be fully admitted and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year by Xavier's priority deadline of Feb.15.

Loans

The University participates in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program, in which borrowers obtain federal loan funds directly from the U.S. Department of Education. Loans are borrowed money and must be repaid by the student.

Graduate assistantship (GA) positions are available in many offices and departments on campus and provide an opportunity to gain valuable professional experience.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

The FAFSA form becomes available on October 1 for the next school year. We encourage you to fill it out as soon as possible on or after Oct. 1. Students whose FAFSA is received by Feb. 15 receive priority aid consideration. Be sure to list Xavier's federal school code: 003144.
